In 1999, I began my personal genealogy research. My one regret is not starting sooner. In some respect, genealogy research is similar to panning for gold. With genealogy, one can spend countless amounts of time digging, but finding “nuggets” makes the effort worth while.
I have uncovered incredible family stories, learned about the many challenges faced by my ancestors, and gained a better appreciation for their sacrifices that have contributed to my success. My research was featured on iReport for CNN.
