Storify, My Favorite New Web 2.0 Tools

Almost 3 months ago, I began reviewing a lot of new Web 2.0 tools, that I had never tried. For me this included: Pinterest, Storify, VoiceThread, SlideShare, ScoopIt, LibraryThing, GoodReads, Delicious, and more. Out of the bunch Storify was my favorite Web 2.0 tool. I enjoy curating content, so being able to easily bring in content from different sources was great. This tool has a browser add-on which makes Storifying content even easier. The add-on has also added “Storify It” links to social site such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and more. I especially like the embed capabilities of the Storify articles that are created. Decentralizing content is a must have feature these days. Give Storify a try, and let me know what you think.

Storify is probably one of the few tools that I did not get a chance to explore this semester, so thanks for the heads up! I will make sure I try it out! My surprise favorite ended up being Glogster…it’s a really cool way to present training content. Thanks for sharing! Good luck and enjoy the rest of your summer! :)

I’m saying my farewells a little early since we’re moving house over the next few days. I’ve enjoyed getting to know you through your blog posts. Storify is my definitely one of my favorite tools I picked up from this class. Good luck with your studies and your career.

Hi Dewayne! Thanks for sharing :) I’ve tried Storify but I preferred Scoopit. I think both of these tools have similar function of curating where users can just Storify It or Scoopit by using the add on browser and shared the story/scoop to social media. I personally like Scoopit because of the magazine-like interface of my Scoopit :) Best of luck!
